Covid-19 vaccine doses for people aged and above in Mandalay city were transported by Air KBZ on February 10.

With the State fund, 30 million doses of Covishield/Astrazeneca have been purchased and about two million is due to arrive in Myanmar in the first week of February. Likewise, vaccines from COVAX facility will arrive in March and those purchased with the State fund in April. 

Nationwide vaccination will prioritize elders, those with underlying health conditions and vulnerable groups living in the townships where the stay-at-home rule is in effect. 

Depending on vaccine availability, most affected areas will be prioritized in the stay-at-home townships. 

Myanmar Airways International in partnership with Air KBZ has resumed domestic flights with the use of Embraer E190 planes.
