The Cancer ward from Yangon General Hospital announed that they will only be accepting 10 patients per day due to lack of doctors and nurses.

The announcement stated that regularly scheduled processes such as adminstering cancer medicine and so on will be adjusted accordingly, only 10 new patients will be accepted per day and Follow Up check ups will be temporarily suspended. 

The cancer ward, due to COVID-19, previously only accepted 20 new patients per day and regular patients have to book an appointment one week in advance as the ward will only see up to 50 patients per day from 8am to 12pm.

For four-months booking patients, the ward will be contacting those patients for new booking times.
