Myanmar sees 1,509 new cases with 31 deaths on November 29

Myanmar found 1,509 new COVID-19 confirmed patients and 31 more have died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of November 29.

 

A total of 15,220 samples are tested between November 28 and November 29 and found 1,509 confirmed patients, it said.

 

A total of 1,322 people were allowed to be discharged from the hospitals bringing the total number of people free from the virus to 68,910.

 

Among the 31 deaths, 26 had underlying chronic medical conditions. Up to 1,918 patients have died from the virus, it said.

 

It said 1,147,841 samples were tested till November 29 and found 89,486 patients so far and 68,910 people were recovered from the virus with 1,918 deaths.

 

A total of 975 people, who had close contact with positive patients in Yangon Region and tested negative, are put in home quarantine, it said.

 

Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid antigen diagnostic test kits and there are people who lost their sense of smell and taste included, announced the MOHS.
