A total of 1,639 Covid-19 cases and 36 deaths were reported in Myanmar within a day, according to the Ministry of Health and Sports.

The new cases were reported after 20,118 lab tests were carried out between 8 pm on November 25 and 8 pm on November 26. The number of Covid-19 cases in the country has so far reached 85,205.  

Moreover, 1,279 patients recovered and were discharged from hospital within that day bringing the total number of discharged people to 64,645.

Of the 36 deaths, 23 had underlying health conditions. The total number of Covid-19 deaths has reached 1,846, according to the data released by the ministry.
