MONYWA------An object initially assumed to be a handmade explosive device was found in Ohbotaung ward, Monywa Township, Sagaing Region, in the evening of November 3rd, according to Khaing Moe Oo, ward administrator.

“We found it on the bus in the staff quarter of Sagaing Region Timber Industry. It is made up of Chinese firecrackers . But, it has no detonator and then we also found a power bank and a cell phone without a sim card which is connected with the handmade mine. It is just for threatening,” said Khaing Moe Oo.

The Military Engineering Battalion cleared the “bomb”.
