PATHEIN------Political activist Aye Win staged a solo protest calling for resignation of Union Election Commission’s (UEC) chairman in Pathein Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday, morning.

The solo protest called for the resignation of the UEC’s chairman. A statement released on October 25th saying that the UEC was too weak to scrutinize the candidates of United Democratic Party (UDP) for running in General Election 2020. 

Aye Win urged the UEC’s chairman to resign from his post as the UEC chair must take responsibility for barring UDP candidates from the election.

The solo protester toured around Pathein's downtown by holding the sign board that called for the UEC’s chair to resign.
