As Yoma and Aung Myint Mo housing apartments in Yangon Region have been handed over for the use of quarantine centers, the buyers will have their permission to dwell suspended for a certain period, the Ministry of Construction has announced.

The ministry received applications to buy units of those apartments through ODA loans from June 8 to 26 after announcing information on the Facebook page of DUHD Sale Housing, and the applicants had to buy an under lot drawing system on July 16.

The buyers are due to be granted permission to dwell by October 2020.

As Covid-19 cases increase in Yangon, the existing quarantine centers are not enough to house. So after the coordination sought by the regional government, the ministry has handed over the apartments to be turned into quarantine centers.

Further notice for granting permission to dwell will be announced through the Facebook page of DUHD Sale Housing or to individual buyers.
