MANDALAY-After Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, already has seen 30 COVID-19 cases, a town area is under lockdown and bus lines have suspended their bus services to other regions.
Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Myingyan Township, all bus line services were suspended since yesterday, according to the announcement of Myingyan Township All Bus Lines Control Committee.
With the aim to control the spread of COVID-19 virus in Myingyan, the authorities ordered the restaurant owners to sell their food for takeaway system. Moreover, they held Facemask campaign and disinfected the roads.
At present, over 300 peoples who had closely contact with the COVID-19 confirmed cases have been put under Facility Quarantine. Among 300, some peoples of swabs will be tested, says MP Aung Myo Latt from No.5 Constituency in Myingyan District.
“We already sent more 17 COVID-19 confirmed patients to Myingyan District People’s Hospital yesterday. Those people who had closely contact with the confirmed cases are being quarantined and then we are going to test their swabs. Only Ward No.6 in Myingyan Township which is the COVID-19 hotspot has been under lockdown,” said MP Aung Myo Latt.
“Bus lines services are suspended due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Myingyan Township. Newly 17 COVID-19 confirmed cases were sent to the Hospital. And then, 106 persons who had closely contact with the new confirmed cases already have been sent to facility quarantine center,” said Nyi Nyi Aung, an administrator from Myingyan Township.
As all bus lines temporarily halted, restaurants and tea shops already closed, there has been a little dwellers on the roads in a town area.
