Taxis in Yangon city were sprayed with disinfectants for the third time on April 28 on Parami Road.

Disinfecting taxis started from 9 am till evening on April 28 in front of Po Shwe Hla Tea Shop on Parami Road in Yangon Region.

“Till 12 noon, about 300 taxis came to be disinfected. Private cars can also come. We will be doing this until evening. This is the third time we have disinfected city taxis. This is being done under cooperation of various social organizations such as Unrivalled Mitta Social Aid Organization, Shar Thu Social Aid Organization, Lin Let Social Aid Organization, Yangon Taxi Driver Union and other taxi associations,” said the chairman of Shar Thu Social Aid Organization.

In the first two disinfections, the number of taxis reached over 1,000. But now, fewer taxis are running due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Taxi drivers were also provided with hand sanitizers.
