MYAWADY-Coronavirus testing machine donated by AA Medical Product Limited arrived in Myawady Township, yesterday afternoon, according to MP Thant Zin Aung from Kayin State.

The machine will be able to test more than 1,400 people per day.

“Container cars carrying Coronavirus testing machine and its related devices arrived in Myawady border through No.2 Friendship Bridge from Thailand on Tuesday afternoon. And then, the vehicles will be proceeding to Yangon from Myawady. I think, the vehicles will arrive in Yangon on late Tuesday,” said Thant Zin Aung.

The AA Medical Products Limited made a donation of Coronavirus testing machine worth over Ks 800 million including enough reagents to the Ministry of Health and Sports on April 5th.

The machine will be placed at the National Health Laboratory in Yangon.

The National Health Laboratory is currently an only place that can conduct tests but the government is now preparing another lab, located in Mandalay to meet the biosafety standards necessary to conduct testing.
