No new confirmed case, 19 patients in stable condition

Yangon—There were no new confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 19 out of 20 confirmed patients are in stable condition, according to the statement by the Ministry of Health and Sports on the evening of 5 April. 

From 6 pm on 4 April to 6 pm on 5 April, 38 new patients were added to the list of Persons Under Investigation (PUI). 

According to the National Health Laboratory’s results on 5 April, 55 patients put in quarantine tested negative for the virus. 

One patient is being treated at Teedim People’s Hospital in Chin State, 11 at Waibargi Specialist Hospital, one at Kandawnadi Hospital in Mandalay, one at Nay Pyi Taw People’s Hospital, one at Lashio Hospital and four at Pyay People’s Hospital. 

One patient is being treated at the Intensive Care Unit of Waibargi Specialist Hospital. 

Till 5 April, Myanmar has 21 confirmed cases. One patient with the underlying cause died.
