Seven Myanmar migrant workers, including a 29-year old woman who lived in the same condo with a COVID-19 suspect in Thailand, are being quarantined at Myawady district hospital, sources said.

The woman came back from Thailand had illness and itch in the throat and her neighbourhood sent her to the hospital as she lived in a condo with a COVID-19 suspect in Thailand, said Tay Zar Aung, administrator of Myawady district.

“She lived with a COVID-19 suspect in a condo. The suspect lived in the upper floor went ill and neighbourhood are suspected her. They sent her along with other six workers, who rode in a car, to the hospital. We will do the procedures of the health department,” he said.

Thai authorities banned travelling across provinces including Bangkok after number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Thailand are reached over 900. Although Thai banned public transportation access from Bangkok to Mae Sot for sixty days, Myanmar migrant workers are welcomed by authorities at No.2 Friendship Bridge in Myawady-Mae Sot border.
