Contestants from Miss Grand International visited famous places in the Bago Region including Kanbawzathardi Golden Palace and Shwemawdaw Pagoda on October 13.

The contestants competed in the national costume competition held at Gandamar Grand Ballroom on October 12 and Miss Grand International contestant Su Myat Phoo representing Myanmar showcased a national costume designed with hot air balloons in mind. Top-20 winners of the national costume competition will soon be announced. The winner of each category will be announced and awarded prizes at the Grand Final.

The contestants arrived in Yangon on October 5 and were introduced to the media on October 8. They visited Shwedagon Pagoda, Bogyoke Market and Karaweik Palace in Yangon. They watched culture show presented at Karaweik Palace and got involved in activities such as the puppet show as well as gold and silver embroidery.

The contestants will be on a tour till October 15 and visit Kawthoung on October 16. A Swim suit competition will be held at Kawthoung and preliminary interviews of the constestants will also be filmed.

They will compete in preliminary competition and grand final on October 23 and 25 respectively.
