An estimated Ks 64 billion will be spent on the development of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, in 2019-2020 fiscal year, said Lower House MP Than Soe Aung from Pyinmana Township, at a meeting between the MPs, departments and the public, in Pyinmana Township on November 3.

“We will spend a budget of around Ks 64 billion for all Nay Pyi Taw Council Area. Around Ks 10.5 billion is earmarked for Pyinmana. We need a budget of Ks 33 billion for Pyinmana Township. We asked for a half of necessary budget. But we get a budget of over Ks 10 billion,” MP Than Soe Aung added.

“There are 36 village-tracts in Pyinmana Township. There remain 29 village-tracts after seven urban wards are excluded. The significant point is seven groups in the mountain region. There is no district-to-district roads and electricity in seven groups. Communication is under construction. Education and health sectors still lag behind,” he added.

He submitted a plan to build the union road for the mountain area as the road transportation is still difficult in Pyinmana Township. In addition, he is working on the power supply project in village-tracts in the mountain area.
