Companies from Hong Kong and China are allowed to make investments worth over US$17.47 million in businesses that produce shoes, bags, hand gloves, different kinds of toys and FFC cables for the telecommunication sector under the CMP system, according to Yangon Region Investment Committee (YRIC).

The committee approved the endorsement at 20/2019 of the YRIC meeting.

Colorado Outdoor Gear (Myanmar) Limited from Hong Kong invested US$1.16 million to produce bags under CMP system in Myaseinyaung Industrial Zone in Hlaing Thayar Township and Sunny Arts & Crafts Company Limited from China invested US$1.2 million worth of investment to produce toys under CMP system in Myaseinyaung Industrial Zone in Hlaing Thayar Township.

Vogue (Myanmar) Industry Limited from China invested US$0.789 million to produce bags under CMP system in an Industrial Zone in East Dagon Township and Hongho Telecommunication (Myanmar) Company Limited from China invested US$2.5 million worth of investment to produce FFC cables used in telecommunication sector under CMP system in an Industrial Zone in East Dagon Township.

Jia Xin (Myanmar) Garment Company Limited from China invested US$3.5 million to produce clothes under CMP system in Wartayar Industrial Zone in Shwepyitar Township, Sunlong (Myanmar) Sports Company Limited from China invested US$1.2 million worth of investment to produce bags under CMP system in Thadukan Industrial Zone in Shwepyitar Township and Poushing Company Limited from Hong Kong invested US$1 million to produce clothes under CMP system in Wartayar Industrial Zone in Shwepyitar Township.

Myanmar Myanbag Industrial Company Limited from China invested US$0.876 million to produce bags under CMP system in Hlaing Tharyar Township, Dehong Technology (Myanmar) Company Limited from China invested US$3 million worth of investment to produce signal cable used in communications sector under CMP system in East Dagon Township Ka Hung (Myanmar) Leather Glove Company Limited from Hong Kong invested US$1.2 million to produce hand gloves under CMP system in Shwe Lin Ban Industrial Zone in Shwepyitar Township and Myanmar Zhengxin Footwear Company Limited from Hong Kong invested US$1.05 million to produce shoes under CMP system in Wartayar Industrial Zone in Shwepyitar Township.

The investments can create 7,329 job opportunities, according to the YRIC.
