Young general practitioners from Mandalay got together and opened free clinics starting from 10th February to provide healthcare services to the people.
Dr. Moe Moe Khine from Medical Cover free clinic said that the clinic was opened by like-minded young GPs. It was not a work of any organization or group. Four clinics named Mandalay Medical Cover will be opened in Mandalay. Starting from 10th of February treatment will be given. Mainly people of various illnesses, people needing emergency care and those with wounds due to accidents will be given treatment. Should there be a need for surgery due to the intensity of the accident, arrangements had been made with physicians from the Byammaso Association for treatment. That day the clinic on 32 (A) Road, between 73rd and 74th streets and Byammaso Association clinic gave treatment to patients. Arrangements were being made to open clinics in the following two days.
It was learnt that Mandalay Medical Cover clinics will be opened one on Maha Aungmyay 38th street, 90th street, and another on 9th street, between 73rd and 74th streets.
Another hospital to treat patients that were taking treatment in different hospitals to take treatment here and for those needing emergency treatment and for new out patients, as a supportive hospital at the Zevita Dhana Sangha Hospital after doing the necessary alterations to give treatment from 9AM to 4PM, as per information given by Social Support Team in Mandalay.
