Yangon-Incheon direct flight to begin service as of December 3

Myanmar Airways International (MAI) is going to provide Yangon-Incheon direct flight service four times a week starting from December 3.

“The MAI’s A 319 will offer flight service from Yangon to Incheon in Republic of Korea (ROK) four times a week,” said an official of the MAI.

The MAI in partnership with Meebang Air Agencies planned to enter the air transport market of ROK, providing regular flight service.

The MAI would provide direct flight service of Yangon to Incheon by A 319 plane that can carry 144 passengers for times a week. The flight will run on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

“We are glad about the appointment of the representative of Meebang. We believe their skills, flight ticket selling system and flight market initiatives. We will promote the logo of the MAI together with Meebang. Further new flight services will be offered to Korean travelers,” said the chairman of the MAI.

The MAI is providing regular flight services to Bangkok, Singapore, Guangzhou, Bodh Gaya and Kolkata and chartered flight services to China.

Recently, Fuzhou has become the fifth flight destination and it is running to China.  

The MAI won the most secure and safest airline prize. Airline Ratings.com (World’s only safety and product rate agency presented the MAI 7 star Rating prize.

The MAI will double the number of planes at the end of 2019, hoping to acquire more market shares, said Kyaw Han, Chief Operation Officer (COO).
