A ward administrator from No-3 ward in Hlaing Tharyar Township (East) was shot dead at 8:15 pm on May 1, source said.
According to the information of a man was killed at the corner of Nat Shin Naung Road and Bogyoke Road in No-3 ward in Hlaing Tharyar Township (East), security forces went and inspected the area. The case was that ward administrators U Thet Paing Oo (52 years) and U Aung Gyi aka Aung Min Tun , while carrying out road cleaning for the upcoming prayer service in the road, two men on a motorcycle came and shot them. U Thet Paing Oo got gunshot wounds and died on the spot.
Investigation has been made to arrest those involved in the incident.
