Union Minister of State Counsellor Office pays official visit to Cuba

NAYPYITAW- Kyaw Tint Swe, Union Minister of the State Counsellor Office, paid official visit to the Republic of Cuba from 2nd to 5th October, according the announcement of Ministry of Foreign Affairs released on October 7th.

During the trip, the Union Minister separately met with Cuban Vice-President Roberto Morales Ojeda, Jose Angel Portal Miranda, Minister of Public Health of Cuba and Bruno Eduardo Rodriguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba at their offices on October 3rd.

Both sides discussed about economic developments, boosting bilateral relationships, promoting health sector and opportunities to enhance cooperation in production of medicines and medical equipments and research works on human resources development.

Later, Union Minister Kyaw Tint Swe attended the reception to launch the establishment of Myanmar Embassy in Havana at Melia Cohiba Hotel in Cuba, on October 4th and he also made the speech.

 The establishment of Myanmar Embassy in Havana aims to promote Myanmar-Cuba relation, to cooperate bilateral trade and investments.

The Myanmar delegation led by the Union Minister Kyaw Tin Swe left from Havana on October 5th.
