A hundred-household administer from Myayaynanda Ward, Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay Region was shot at around 9 am today, sources said.

The incident took place at a teashop located on 114th Road between 50th and 51st streets in Myayaynanda Ward, Chanmyathazi Township. While the ward administrator and the hundred-household administer were sitting in the tea shop, two unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle and shot the hundred-household administer.

"While the ward administrator and the hundred-household administer were sitting in the tea shop, the gunman came on a motorcycle and fired a shot. He was reported to have suffered a gunshot wound in his arm and his life was not in danger. Security forces were seen searching for the culprits,” said a person lived nearby.

Thet Ko, the hundred-household administer, had a bullet wound in his left arm and the gunmen fled on a motorcycle.
