A group of about 100 people killed two policemen and wounded one in Debayin Township, Sagaing Region and they took three weapons from the policemen, according to a report from the state owned media.

The three policemen are from Mukan police station. They were attacked by the group of people using sticks and swords near Photehtantaw Village while they are on the way to seek legal advice from Debayin Township Court and to submit a request to demolish the police station, according to the report.

The two policemen are died on the spot and a police officer had seven knife wounds. He was sent to the military hospital in the area, it said.
