Two new Covid-19 cases confirmed, total cases up to 180

The Ministry of Health and Sports reported at 8 pm on May 10 that 205 Covid-19 samples were tested in the first batch—90 by the National Health Laboratory (Yangon) and 115 by the Department of Medical Research—and two more people tested positive for the coronavirus.

The two new patients are a man from Insein Township and a woman from Mayangon Township in Yangon Region. Both are 21 years old.

So far, Myanmar has seen 180 confirmed Covid-19 cases and six deaths.  

The number of the old patients who are free from the virus has reached 72 as four more have tested negative twice on May 10. Of the 72, 55 have been discharged from hospital.

The ministry announced no new cases of Covid-19 in 79 cases tested in the second batch.
