Two people were injured when a drone attack occurred at the Shweku Township administrative office at 11:00 am on September 6 according to locals.

A drone dropped four drop bombs at the same time at the meeting room of the Shweku Township administrative office but few were injured as the meeting was finished 15 minutes earlier, according to local sources.

“It seemed that the attacked was aimed at the morning meeting at the office. There were few people as the meeting was finished 15 minutes earlier. A male staff and a female civilian who came to office were wounded. Though another two bombs were dropped, no one was there. Most of the drone attacks occurred at the police stations. Last month, police members were killed in the bomb attacks,” said the man who didn’t want to be identified.

It’s been more than two years that clashes have been taking place between Tatmadaw and KIA combined forces at villages along the river between Kachin State and Sagaing Region.
