Two children were injured while playing with firecrackers on the night of the full moon day of Thadingyut  in Myawaddy.

 A child from Ward 5 suffered severe facial injuries when he inspected a firecracker. He was rushed to Myawaddy Hospital but due to the extent of his injuries, he was later transferred to Mae Sot Hospital in Thailand for further treatment according to Ko Zaw from Z.Rescue Social Association.

 His parents, who are manual laborers, are struggling to cover medical costs.

Another child from Ward 4 also sustained hand injuries when a firecracker exploded in his hand and is currently receiving treatment at Myawaddy Hospital.
