Three shot dead in a day in Launglon Township

Three people—a man and a couple— were separately shot and killed in Launglon Township, Dawei District, Taninthayi Region, on October 28, according to local sources.

Of the three, a man from Kyauksin village was killed at about 5pm and a couple from Thakyattaw village killed at about 7pm.  

 U Thein Han was shot dead by unknown gunmen while he was at home in Kyauksin village. His body was taken by authorities and security forces conducted searches in the village, local sources said. 

About two hours after the incident, U Aung Soe and his wife Daw Kyi San were shot and killed by unidentified gunmen while they were at home in Thakyattaw village.

“U Aung Soe’s home is located just near the police station. It’s about two houses away. The couple was shot as they watched the TV at home. Both died on the spot,” said a local villager.

An ambulance arrived only on the morning of October 29 and the body was taken, he added.

On October 20 also, four people in Kyauksin village were shot and killed at about 11.30pm, local sources said.
