In a devastating incident this morning, a fire erupted at the Aung Mingalar Highway Bus Terminal in Yangon Region, claiming the lives of three men. According to sources, the blaze began at the gate of the Shwe Lin Yone bus line, which is located within the compound of the Aung Mingalar highway bus terminal.
The Fire Services Department (FSD) swiftly dispatched firefighters to the scene, where they battled the flames. Tragically, the three men—who were asleep near the gate—succumbed to the fire. Two of them were found burned, while one remained unscathed.
The heroic efforts of four fire trucks from the fire stations in Mingaladon, Insein, and North Okkalapa Townships eventually extinguished the inferno. However, the loss of life remains a somber reminder of the destructive power of fire. Our thoughts are with the victims’ families during this difficult time.
