YANGON------Three men and a woman were arrested for killing of General Manager Thein Aung from Mytel Telecommunications Company.
Thein Aung living on Tay Nu Yin Road, 7 miles from Mayangone Township, Yangon Region, was shot dead as he and his wife were leaving their house to walk at around 7:30 am on November 4th. And then, his wife was seriously injured.
According to the public tip-off, Sitt Zaw Kan @Han Thar Tun, aged-19 and Phyo Ei Kyaw, aged-24 were arrested at a house situated in Nilar Street, Padanmyar Ward, Mingladon Township, Yangon Region.
Sitt Zaw Kan@Han Thar Tun had attended explosive training course being opened in the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) Brigade 6 area in April. Later, he acted as the deputy leader at Yangon Revolution Force-YRF which aims to commit terrorist acts in Yangon. Moreover, Banya Soe Htet @ Leo was the YRF’s third leader. Likewise, Phyo Ei Kyaw was a financial officer in YRF. She is in charge of the purchase of essential weapons/ammunition with the fund. The detainees said that the Myanmar citizens from abroad supported cash and medicines to the YRF.
Defendant Sitt Zaw Kan (a) Hantha Tun received three pistols, five magazines, and 121 bullets from Jame (YUG group) through Nga Kyar (Free Tiger Ranger-FTR) on 26 September, and he kept them at the hand of Banya Soe Htet (a) Leo.
According to the statement of defendant Sitt Zaw Kan, the YRF group planned to hide in the compound owned by suspect Sai Sithu near Ngasu village in Taikkyi Township, after carrying out the acts of terrorism. According to their state- ments, Banya Soe Htet (a) Leo brought those weapons and went to murder U Thein Aung with Sitt Kan Zaw (a) Hantha Tun by a Hyundai Accent (white colour). Pho Thar and Thar Nge, who are yet to be arrested, followed them by two bicycles.
On Konemyittha road, Sitt Zaw Kan (a) Hantha Tun got off the car, took the bicycle from Thar Nge. Thar Nge went by foot and shot U Thein Aung and his wife seven times with a pistol on Taynuyin street. According to the statement of Sitt Kan Zaw (a) Hantha Tun and Banya Soe Htet (a) Leo, they were involved in killing grocery owner U Sann Linn and wife, on Okkyin Budayon road, in Hline Township on 5 August. They wore PPE suits and committed the crime with Aung Lay, and they received K700,000 for it from Jame (YUG group). Sitt Kan Zaw(a) Hantha Tun received three two-series homemade time bombs from the People Power Movement-PPM group on 21 October and these bombs was given to a member of Rangoon Urban Revolutionary-RUR to explode it near the EPC office on Pyay Road, Mayangon Township on 22 October.
The killing of business executives and destruction of commercial buildings were funded by terrorist group NUG to discontinue foreign businesses that are affiliated with the government in the country.
The YRF group, which includes the arrested suspects, is mainly commanded by Jame (YUG) and has 12 terrorist groups under its control. Jame (YUG) has been linked to the terrorist group NUG / CRPH to get weapons and financial support and it is ordering the acts of terrorism. It is reported that the arrested suspects will be taken action under the law, and the people are requested to work together for the peace and safety of the towns and villages by covertly providing information about the connected suspects to the relevant authority.
