The administrator of Taein Dee Village in Sagaing Township and two others were shot dead at a house where they were visiting for funeral arrangements on the night of November 14.  

 “The village administrator named U San Shwe Myint was first in another village for security reasons. But he came back to his village temporarily for the funeral. Shootings occurred at the house where the visitors were playing cards. The incident happened at about 11pm,” said a local villager.

The administrator, one man and one woman were killed. 

Three other ward administrative officials were also shot dead in Sagiang in recent months.

Bawga gems market in the town of Sagaing also faced a threat to be blown up on August 22.
