Three airlines suspend flight schedules between China-Yangon

Three airlines have suspended their flight schedules between China and Yangon due to the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus in Wuhan of China.

Three suspended airlines are: China Eastern Airline, 9 Air and JC (Cambodia).

China Eastern Airline announced that it has suspended flight schedules between Yangon, Mandalay and Wuhan till the end of February.

Yangon International Airport has stepped up its efforts to carry out thermal screening on the passengers arriving by international flights including those from China. Special attention is being paid to the health of passengers, airport staff and the public. The airport works in close cooperation with Ministry of Health and Sports which is National Health Authority.

Airport Health Quarantine Team from the health division of Yangon International Airport monitored and checked the health of 85 passengers from China Eastern Airline Flight No.MU 2659 which landed at Yangon International Airport on the morning of 23 January. No suspect case is reported in Myanmar so far.
