The 2nd day meeting between State Peace Talk Team and delegations from KNU/KNLA (PC) and DKBA continued

SAC  information team made a statement that the State Peace Talks Team held the second-day meeting with the Karen National Liberation Army (Peace Council) KNU/KNLA (PC) and the Democratic Karen Benevolent Army-DKBA delegations at the meeting hall of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw on September 16.

On the second-day meeting, attitudes from both sides on the prior meeting were discussed. Later,  Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein put forward the studies on the agreements of Part I/II and III of the Union Accord to check whether they reconcile with the existing laws of the 2008 Constitution.

Later, the second-day meeting was adjourned after those present mutually discussed their views and opinions.The third-day meeting will continue on 17 September.

The meeting was attended by SAC Member Union Minister at the Union Government Office Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Leader of the State Peace Talks Team Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and members: SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung and DKBA Chief-of-Staff Saw Steel, Adjutant-General Saw Sein Win, KNU/KNLA (PC) Vice-Chair Dr Naw Kapaw Htoo and General Secretary Saw Kyaw Nyunt.
