Thailand and its neighboring countries will jointly hold a trade fair in Ranong, and over ten businesses from Taninthayi Region are due to participate in it.

Ranong Trade Fair and Matching 2023 was recently held in Thailand’s Ranong with a briefing on holding a joint trade fair.

“More than 10 businesses from Myanmar are planning to showcase and sell oyster shell-based ornamental decorative designs, finished bamboo products and regional crops and fruits. The trade fair will be held in Ranong, Thailand. Over 10 businesses from Kawthoung and Myeik will be participating in it,” said a local resident in Kawthoung.

The head of Ranong Province Trade Department said efforts were being made for local products to penetrate the global market, seek more trade routes, improve people’s income, have links with health-based tourism and strengthen the economy between BIMSTEC countries and Asian countries.

The trade fair will be held in Ranong for five days from June 28 to July 2 with over 150 shops including those from 20 international businesses, according to Thai officials.

There will also be a display of community-based products, biz club and SME products, finished agro-based goods and products from Ranong and its surrounding towns. Thailand has invited Myanmar entrepreneurs to showcase and sell their products and have international links.
