Temperatures in four states will be higher in second ten days of March: DMH

Day temperature will be 1.5°C above normal in Kachin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon states in the second ten days of March, said Dr Kyaw Moe Oo, Director General of Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).

“Kachin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon states will have day temperatures higher than normal temperature in the second ten days of March and the remaining regions and states will also be higher especially in mid Myanmar such as Mandalay, Sagaing and Magway regions. However night temperatures will be lower in some places. Weather will be fair in places near the sea,” he said.

People need to be careful of strong wind, hail, isolated rainfall and thunders due to higher temperature, he added.

According to the weather forecast for second ten days of March by the DMH, weather will be partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Rain will be likely above normal in upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, below normal in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon states and about normal in Nay Pyi Taw, lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi regions, Shan, Chin and Rakhine states.

Rainy days will be expected about 3 to 5 days in upper Sagaing, Kachin and Chin states and about 1 to 2 days in Nay Pyi Taw, lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi regions, Shan and Rakhine states and weather will be partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon states.

Day temperature will be 1.5°C above normal in Kachin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon states and about normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions, Shan, Chin and Rakhine states.

Foggy days will be expected about 1 to 3 days in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady and Taninthayi regions, northern and southern Shan, Kayah and Kayin states and about 4 to 5 days in Kachin, eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Mon states, it said.
