Civil Servants participating in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) from Taungoo Hospital in Taungoo Township, Bago Region, moved from their government-quarters on April 5.
Many civil servants that are not part of the CDM also moved out together with them.
There were around 38 staff members that were living in Taungoo Hospital staff quarters. Some left as soon as they participated in CDM and the rest moved out after a military officer called them for a meeting and told them to get back to work or get out within two days.
Around 12 families moved out from the quarters on April 5 with around 1-3 hospital staff from one family.
Since they are low-income earners, they have no houses of their own and will have to either live with relatives or well-wishers that are willing to assist them with friends helping them with their vehicles to help them move.
