TAUNGGYI-----Although 31 workers who have no health certificates and will return back to Magway from Tachileik had been found in Taunggyi Township, southern Shan State, authorities handed over them to officials from their region.

Those 31 returnees came from Magway Region and they worked in Thailand. Later, they hired two vehicles in Tachileik Township aiming to return back home, according to the one of the returnees.

But, the workers illegally came to Taunggyi via Tachileik and they had no health certificates.

That’s why authorities took the records of the returnees and then they served the dinner to them and planned to send them to their native.

The Shan State Government Committee already issued a statement saying that the person has a chance to go around Shan State with QR pass. If the people can’t show health certificates for the COVID-19 test, they can’t be allowed to travel from one state to another.

The authorities handed over 31 returnees to their native from Taunggyi Township at the same night.
