On October 10, a total of 756 new students enrolled at Kyaukme No. 1 Basic Education High School in Kyaukme town, Shan State (North), bringing total enrollment to 1,977 since the school reopened on October 8.
The newly enrolled students received free textbooks, stationery, and other learning materials provided by the Ministry of Education. Departmental officials are also assisting with the enrollment process and ensuring students have the necessary support to continue their education.
Meanwhile, officials from the Department of Immigration and Population are conducting household registration checks and issuing citizenship cards to local residents who have returned to Kyaukme.
Security forces are carrying out mine clearance operations in departmental offices and public areas to ensure public safety. In addition, medical teams from the Ministry of Health and the Tatmadaw are providing healthcare services to residents. A temporary hospital has been opened at Labamuni Chinese Monastery, where 105 outpatients and six inpatients are currently receiving medical treatment.
