State Counsellor arrives in Bangkok for attending ASEAN Summit

A Myanmar delegation led by State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi left for Thailand from Nay Pyi Taw International Airport about 12:30 pm of November 1st aiming to attend 35th ASEAN Summit and they arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, at noon.

Union Minister for International Cooperation Kyaw Tin, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Thaung Tun and Officials were accompanied with the State Counsellor.

The Myanmar delegation was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and Minister for Public Health Anution Charnvirakul, Myanmar Ambassador to Thailand Myo Myint Than and wife, military attaché Brig-Gen Khin Zaw and Myanmar embassy staff at Don Mueang International Airport.

Moreover, some leaders from ASEAN regions also arrived in Thailand yesterday evening.

The Myanmar delegation will be staying at the Athenee Hotel in Thailand during the Summit. The ASEAN Summit and its related meetings will be held from November 2nd to 4th.
