The killing did not occur at a Japanese restaurant in U Chit Maung housing in Bahan Township, but rather at a Japanese restaurant on U Chit Maung Road, sources said.
The murder occurred at around 1:30 am on February 18.
A person from the restaurant said that the incident did not occur at the Family Sushi Japanese Restaurant in U Chit Maung housing.
“This incident did not happen at our restaurant. This incident did not happen,” a person from the Family Sushi Japanese Restaurant said.
The deceased was identified as Ko Aung Zaw Htet, an employee at the Japanese Paradise Restaurant on U Chit Maung Road, according to the Japanese Paradise Restaurant.
In a statement regarding the murder, Japanese Paradise Restaurant said that it shares its condolences with the family of Ko Aung Zaw Htet, an employee at its branch. The incident is that the deceased Ko Aung Zaw Htet had an argument with employees of another Japanese restaurant, after which the employees came to the front of the restaurant and started a fight. They attacked the deceased with the weapon they had brought. Ko Aung Zaw Htet aka Aung Zaw fell to his death on the platform outside the restaurant.
Japanese Paradise Restaurant reported that six other people involved in the incident have also been arrested and questioned by the relevant police station.
