Homes in a village-tract of Hinthada Township, Ayeyawady Region are being evacuated again because of the ongoing floods and riverbank collapses as tides increase. 

Several villages of Einpyat Village-tract are reportedly facing natural disasters.

"The riverbank continues to collapse during the floods. There were more collapses yesterday and today. The houses in Ngapyawdaw and Phaungseik villages had to move to our Tangok village for a temporary period. There were houses that had to be evacuated four or five times a month. "My house has been demolished four times; it has been rebuilt fifth time. We have difficulty with our living conditions such shortages of water. We are currently using temporary tanks, a local resident, U Myint Swe said.

Homes were evacuated due to riverbank collapses in the area, and floodwaters also caused an embankment collapse this month. Before those accidents, authorities ordered evacuations and took preventive measures through irrigation technology. Therefore, the damage was reported to have been minimized.

"The village contacted to help us evacuate more homes, so our district network collaborates with our partners. A total of nearly 30 people from various organizations were assembled for help. The disaster period is long, and there are many more evacuations," said Ko Aung Myo Tun from the emergence team of Hinthada District Charitable Network.

Currently, the Ayeyawady River is reported to be above the danger water level in Hinthada.
