School admission week for the 2021-2022 Academic year is set from May 24 to May 31 with no admission charges according to Ministry of Education according to Myawaddy TV news broadcast on April 30 at 8:00 pm.
Schools in Myanmar (high school, middle and primary schools) will be opened in July 1st and the school admission week is set from May 24th (Monday) to May 31st (Monday) with no admission fees and stationery, text books, ballpoint pens, pencils as well as masks and face shields to protect COVID-19 will be provided with free of charges to all students enrolled for the coming academic year.
Security measures have been arranged at schools when schools are reopen for the safety of students and teachers according to Captain Aye Thazin Myint from the information team of the State Admission Council at the press brief held via zoom meeting on April 29.
Schools will be opened in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines in cooperation with Ministry of Education, Health and Sports.
High schools of over 6500 were opened in July 2020 but closed again on August 27,2020 when the second wave of COVID-19 occurred in Myanmar.
