Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing, who is on a working visit to Cambodia, met with the Prime Minister of Cambodia and explained the five ASEAN consensus and the implementation of the five-point roadmap processes, according to the information team of the State Administration Council (SAC).

It is reported that Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing, as the special representative of the Chairman of the State Administration Council and the Prime Minister, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, went on a working visit to Cambodia from July 31 to August 2.

When the Special Representative arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, at 9 am on August 1, President of the Senate, Mr Hun Sen, at the Senate and at 10:30 am, the Cambodian Prime Minister, Dr Hun Manet, also went to meet at the Peace Palace.

During the meeting, the special representative discussed and clarified the current developments in Myanmar, the implementation of the five ASEAN consensus and the State Administration Council's five-point roadmap and preparations for holding a fair election in the country.

In addition, it is reported that they discussed the issues of strengthening the existing friendship between the two countries, the potential to promote mutually beneficial cooperation, including travel, connectivity and cultural aspects, increasing regional and international cooperation and holding events to commemorate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025.

In the afternoon, the Myanmar delegation led by the Special Representative attended the luncheon hosted by First Vice-Chairman Mr Park Sokhonn of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
