Reunion of missing children in Tamwe Township: a heartwarming tale
Published 25 March 2024

In a heartwarming turn of events, four children from eastern Dagon Township, Yangon Region, have been reunited with their families in Tamwe Township after a week of anxious searching.

The touching story involves two brothers and their missing siblings, who were found safe and sound.

On the morning of March 17th, two brothers—Mg La Min Maung and Mg Zwe Pyae Maung—along with  Mg Myint Myat Naing, and his young sister, Ma Ingyin Khin, mysteriously vanished from their home in eastern Dagon Township. The worried mothers of the missing children tirelessly searched for any sign of their whereabouts.

Yesterday night, hope was restored when the missing children were discovered on Thadi Pahtan road in Tamwe Township. According to reports, they had left home out of fear of punishment but were too afraid to return. Their relieved mothers expressed gratitude for seeing their beloved children again.

Mg Myint Myat Naing, aged 11, and his younger sister, who is 9 years old, were among the missing. Their mother worked as a laundry worker, and both siblings were also garbage collectors.

In a separate but equally heartwarming development, the two brothers—Mg La Min Maung and Mg Zwe Pyae Maung—were found on March 23, thanks to the efforts of their family members.

Interestingly, in recent months, numerous missing person advertisements have appeared on the Facebook.
