Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS/SSA) made a statement on December 2 that through the new political meetings, it will join hands with all parties to build federal union holding the essence of Nation Wide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA).

RCSS/SSA made the statement on the 10th anniversary of signing the state/region level ceasefire agreement between government and RCSS/SSA. In commemoration of the 10th anniversary which falls on December 2, it will destroy drugs and paraphernalia seized by RCSS/SSA at no-1 military headquarters of Lwetainglyun and (707) Brigade.

The things to be destroyed are 1,136,974 stimulant tablets, 304 kilograms of brown opium powder, 43,560 liters of acid, and 36,000 kilogram of soda power. The statement also said that RCSS/SSA will strive for full implementation of bilateral ceasefire agreement.

RCSS/SSA is a Shan ethnic armed group and together with 7 ethnic armed forces signed the NCA on October 15, 2015.
