The headmaster of Wepa village primary school in Thayetchaung Township, Taninthayi Region, was shot and killed on October 20, the information team of the State Administration Council reported. 

Around 10 PDF (People’s Defence Force) members forcibly entered the house of primary school head teacher U Naung Naung Soe, aged 40, and shot him at about 10.50pm.

Moreover, the PDF members entered the house of U Soe Htike, 37, living in the same village, shot him and left there. 

U Naung Naung Soe died of bullet wounds to the head and chest. But U Soe Htike survived and was sent to Dawei District People’s Hospital for medical treatment.

Security forces have launched a manhunt for the shooters, the SAC information team said.
