A pilgrimage vehicle that had paid homage to Shwe Sayan Pagoda in Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region, was attacked with mines on March 7th, three pilgrims including 6-year-old child died and two were injured in the incident, according to the Information Team of State Administration Council (SAC).
The SAC report also said that the Toyota Passo which provides transport services for the pilgrims from Taungtha Township to Shwe Sayan Pagoda was attacked with remote-control mines and guns on Natogyi-Myingyan motor road in Myingyan Township around 9:45 pm of March 7th and three pilgrims including 6-year-old child died on the spot and two were injured.
The vehicle carries seven adults and one child.
The security forces provided proper medical treatment and sent the victims to Myingyan People’s Hospital and then they conducted operations to take action against the offenders who are on the run.
