The presiding sayadaw was captured and killed in Indaw Township, Sagaing Region, according to the sources.

According to the tip-off,  the presiding sayadaw was killed in Indaw Township, Sagaing Region, around 2 pm of October 1. The security forces confirmed the incident and they reported that the presiding sayadaw, 53-years-old, from a monastery in Pinttin Village of Indaw Township was captured by the combined team of KIA and PDF members on September 26. Around 12 pm of October 1, decomposed body of the presiding sayadaw was found with two stabbing injuries to his abdomen near the boundary of a field located on the roadside of Shwebo-Myitkyina road near Pinwei village.

Security forces are investigating the incident to take punitive action against terrorists who brutally killed the presiding sayadaw in accordance with the law, it is reported.

Similarly, the presiding sayadaw from Min Kyaing village, in Htantapin Township, Bago Region, was captured and murdered by the PDF-combined team on September 24.

The relevant security forces reported that 6 members of KIA and PDF arrived at the Min Kyaing village by three motorbikes and they captured the presiding sayadaw. On arrival at the jungle situated in the western part of the village, they shot at the presiding sayadaw who died with the bullet wounds on the spot.

After February 1 of 2021, over 6,300 persons including monks, medical staffs, faculty members, members of political parties, administrative bodies and so-called military informants were killed across the country.

Likewise, Assistance Association for Political Prisoners - AAPP announced on September 27 that there were over 4,100 deaths due to the killings of security members.

However, the State Administration Council replied that the AAPP report was wrong and it just was the groundless figures.

Both sides reported that over 10,000 civilians were killed in the conflicts around the country after February 1 of 2021.
