The Ministry of Information has reported that one-stop services are underway in the towns of Myawady and Kawthaung for the remaining workers with over two years of passport life to be able to return to Thailand under a MoU U-turn system.

For the workers who have a four-year-old passport life expectancy of more than two years man return to Thailand under a MoU U-turn system through the border gates, one-Stop services are being provided at Thailand-Myanmar Friendship Bridge (2) in Myawady Township and in the compound of the Golden Bear Ice Factory in Myawady Township as of September 11.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Immigration Population and the Ministry of Labour are working together to provide one-stop services to make employment contracts and issue overseas worker identity cards (OWIC) to the workers holding a four-year-old MoUs so that they can return to Thailand.

OWIC issuance by One Stop Service (OSS) in Myawady and Kawthaung is reported to be a process aimed at completing the work in a short time and returning to Thailand during the day.

For the MoU workers in Thailand whose PJ passports will expire in over two years, the Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, announced on September 7 that document renewals for returning to Thailand would be available in Myawady and Kawthaung through a one-stop service, and they don’t need to go to Yangon.
