NAYPYITAW—Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Chairperson of National League for Democracy (NLD) visited the village office of the party in Shwe Kyar Pin Ward, Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, on August 19th.

She also held door-to-door meetings with families of her party members.

The reason for the meeting was the encouragement to the families of her party members and was carried out under the permission of the branch office of Union Election Commission in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, says Dr Zaw Myint Maung, NLD’s Vice Chairman-2.

“She[Suu Kyi] encouraged the families of NLD members. She also visited NLD’s village office and her party members’ houses. The visit is just for our party. She visited only her party members’ houses. We also informed the election commission office (branch) in Nay Pyi Taw council area,” said Dr Zaw Myint Maung.

About 100 locals from Shwe Kyar Pin Ward warmly welcomed the NLD Chairperson and her entourage namely ex-president Htin Kyaw and NLD’s vice-chairman-2 Dr Zaw Myint Maung.

“All people should vote for the General Election-2020. They can vote for any party and have responsibility to vote for the nation but for NLD. We would like to urge the entire people to cast the vote for the nation,” said Htin Kyaw.

The NLD’s chairperson had visited the houses of her party members in Kyitaungkan ward in Pokbar Thiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw council area before holding the general election-2015.
