Nine more schools were opened in Nawnghkio Township on August 21, bringing the total to 87 schools, with 10,229 students enrolled, according to sources.
Basic education schools in Nawnghkio Township, northern Shan State, which was closed for almost a year, have reopened since July 25, 2025, and students are being taught literature and are continuing to enroll.
Today, nine more basic education schools were opened, bringing the total number of basic education schools in Nawnghkio Township to 87, with 557 more students enrolled, bringing the total number of students enrolled to 10,229.
In addition, to facilitate the health care of the local ethnic people, the Nawnghkio Township General Hospital was renovated and reopened on August 2 to provide health care services. Today, they provided necessary health check-ups and treatment for 29 outpatients at the hospital for malaria, influenza and general illnesses, and blood type tests for 15 local ethnics.
