Natmauk Road in front of the United Nations office in Tamway Township, Yangon Region, has reopened , allowing both public and traffic access after a closure of more than eight months, according to local sources.

The section of the road from the traffic lights in front of Basic Education High School No.1 in Tamway to the area past the UN office was blocked and closed on February 22. Only nearby residents and essential workers were allowed to pass.

The road was reopened about a week ago and security guards were no longer deployed there, nearby residents said.
