The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Myanmar within one week rose by another 1614 and the fatality rate also increased to four times in a week according to the statements released by the Ministry of Health and Sports.
According to the September 7 statement, 1581 people have been infected with the virus but on September 14, it has increased to 3195 in number. Moreover, on September 7, there were 8 deaths but on September 14, it rose to 32 and majority of them are from Yangon.
Among the 330 townships in Myanmar, coronavirus infected patients are from 213 townships except Kayah State where there are no COVID-19 patients.
Yangon Region has the most COVID-19 patients and Rakhine stood second place. Health Staff from Magway Region are invited to Yangon Region to give effective health care.
